1. Who we are

This website, www.marketlink.com.mt, and Marketlink’s advertising reporting tools are operated by Marketlink Ltd, ML7 Business Centre, Level 4, Triq L-Intornjatur, Mriehel Bypass, Mriehel BKR3000, Malta (“Marketlink”, “we”, “us”). 2. Information we collect on this website

• Contact form. When you write to us through the contact form we receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address, phone number and message. Messages are checked for spam by Akismet, a service of Automattic Inc.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example pages visited, approximate location, device and browser). This information is collected through cookies and is aggregated.
• Advertising measurement. We use the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our own advertising on Facebook and Instagram. It uses cookies and similar technologies.
• Technical data. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, date and time, pages requested) for security and to keep the site running.

3. How and why we use it

We use this information to reply to your enquiries and provide our services (contract or steps taken at your request), to keep the website secure and improve it (our legitimate interests), and to measure our marketing where the law requires your consent, on the basis of that consent.

4. Cookies

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel set cookies in your browser. You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies does not stop the website from working.

5. Our advertising reporting tool (Google Ads and Meta data)

Marketlink provides its clients with private performance dashboards and monthly reports about the advertising campaigns we manage for them. To do this, and only for clients who have given Marketlink access to their accounts, our reporting tool connects to the Google Ads API and to the Meta Marketing API with read-only access.

• What we access: campaign performance data of the advertising accounts we manage, such as spend, impressions, clicks, conversions and keywords, the ads and creatives that ran, and engagement on the client’s Facebook Page posts. This data is aggregated: it does not identify the individual people who saw or clicked the ads.
• How we use it: only to build the dashboards and reports for the client who owns the account. We do not change campaigns through these connections.
• What we never do: we do not sell this data, share it with third parties, use it to build advertising profiles, or use it for any purpose other than reporting to the account owner.
• Storage and retention: the data is kept only as long as needed to produce and keep the reports for the client relationship, and is protected by access controls.
• Revoking access: the account owner can withdraw access at any time, from myaccount.google.com/permissions for Google, or by removing Marketlink’s access in Meta Business Settings.

Marketlink’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the website and our services, such as our hosting provider, Google, Meta and Automattic, under their own terms and data protection commitments, and with authorities when the law requires it. Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up business relationship. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

8. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information and Data Protection Commissioner of Malta (idpc.org.mt).

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to our systems.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
